About Us

The Stardust Sextet is a professional swing band led by vocalist Shaina May, featuring arrangements by pianist Ezri Martinez. Together, they draw inspiration from the stylings and arrangements of artists such as Sarah Vaughan, Dakota Staton, Frank Sinatra, Lorez Alexandria, Caity Gyorgy, and Laura Anglade. The Stardust Sextet breathes new life into jazz standards ranging from big band classics to lesser-known gems, carefully adapted for their distinctive instrumentation.

The core ensemble includes Shaina May (vocals, oboe), Ezri Martinez (piano), Brooklyn Ludlow (drums), Isaiah Lightfoot (bass), Christian DeLost (tenor saxophone, flute), and Ryan Kupsh (trombone), with additional contributions from Angelo Cueto (guitar) and Julian Quinones (trombone).
